KTI’s range scientists and botanists have a long history of conducting successful permit negotiations and preparing vegetation survey reports for the WDEQ/LQD, USFWS, USFS, BLM, and ACOE. We are experienced with the preparation of biological assessments (BA) and biological evaluations (BE) which evaluate the likelihood of the presence of suitable habitat or threatened species. We thoroughly understand the complex Section 7 consultation process with the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
Our vegetation work is supported by extensive satellite and aerial photography imaging and interpretation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) mapping and data compilation.
We also make extensive use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) for accurate, cost-effective field data collection. We have experience with all agency approved data collection techniques and we can propose specific methods to fit your situation or utilize your existing approved permit methods.
